Motion Graphics Projects
RSA competition 2023
The aim of this project was to create visuals for the audio. I wanted to represent the imagery in an abstract approach as one of the key aims for the brief was to not be too literal. By using abstract circles I could convey the message in a unique style that was easy to follow for the viewer but still followed the audio.
Celebrating 35 years of The Simpsons
The aim of the project was to create a piece that celebrated a film, TV show etc. I choose to represent the celebration of 35 years of The Simpsons. My initial thoughts for this topic were to write down some starting points like 'why has The Simpsons been such a success', and 'how has it managed to keep going for such a long time?' Through research, I managed to accumulate answers which were then conveyed in this video. I tried to summarise the main points of these answers. The Simpsons keep up to date with what's going on in reality, they relate to a lot of families and people who resemble the characters making the viewer feel enticed to watch more and overall it is a humorous show.
Title Sequence
I set myself the task to create a title sequence based on a book I was reading. The book is called 'I Survived' by Victoria Cilliers, which is a very insightful book. To summarise the book, it is about Victoria's husband who tries to kill her and the main attempt was when she was skydiving. I wanted to take this and make a title sequence, I took the main points from the book and tried to morph these points into the sky to set a tone for the viewers about the facts of this person's life, 'married for 15 years...' Using the imagery of the sky represents how Victoria nearly died.
The Tinder Date
The Tinder Date, a project which was based on incorporating elements of motion graphics with production.
